Guidelines and warnings
In inverted roof systems, the thermal insulation is positioned above the waterproofing layer, which is thus protected from temperature fluctuations and the elements. It is therefore essential that the insulation material ensures impermeability to water and vapour, adequate mechanical strength and stability against temperature variations. STIFERITE panels fully meet these performance requirements.
Rainwater runs off beneath the insulation material and may reduce the thermal insulation performance of the roof assembly. To counteract this, it is recommended to allow for an increase in thermal resistance of between 5 and 10 per cent.
STIFERITE panels have an elastic compressive strength exceeding 5,000 kg/m2.
