You are here: Building Insulation - Floors -With Radiant Floor Heat

Technical Specifications

  • Install waterproofing safety mantle, folded up on the wall parameters and soldered to eventual wall breaks.
  • Lay downSTIFERITE's GTEpanel
(alternative: STIFERITE GT - STIFERITE AI4 Edilizia)
  • Lay down plastic guide elements
  • Install radiant heat pipes
  • Lay down reinforced mesh
  • Install vertical separator made of closed cells expanded polyethylene, on the parameter and on the base of the elements in elevation.
  • Separating layer made of polyethylene.
  • Laying down of the cement floor slab
Instructions and Guidelines

Radiant floor heat is the supply of low  temperature heat directly to the floor, maximum insulation required in order to also avoid heating needlessly the structure underneath.

Stiferite’s panels provide the best combination of features: thickness, insulation and scope, a must for this type of application. The safety mantle helps against the rise of humidity and necessary in case of shallow groundwater

Also see: the installation procedure

The tables indicate the suggested thickness of Stiferite’s panels based on

  • Climate Zones
  • Current legislative set limits of thermal transmittance
  • And the following composition of the structure:
