Instructions for use
1. Select your Town in the form on the right.
In the yellow window the Day Degrees will appear, the Climate Zone and the transmittance values prescribed by Law Decree 192 for opaque structures (roofs, walls and floors).
2. Compose the structure you want to assess, selecting the type and thickness of the different layers.
3. Check that the transmittance (U) obtained is lower than or at least equal to the prescribed value.

    NB: The order of the layers does not influence the calculation.
    If the five layers available are not sufficient, it is advised to add the thicknesses of the same or similar layers for insulation performances.The heat conductivity values of materials not produced by Stiferite were obtained from standards or from technical literature.This calculator offers only a rapid indication of the transmittance value of the individual structures and does not intend to substitute the more thorough assessments of the normal programmes for calculating the total heat transmittance of buildings. To use this calculation module we recommend the browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher.
