Shown below, for some building structures, are the
thicknesses of Stiferite panels necessary to satisfy the
levels of thermal transmittance (U) contemplated by the modification scheme of Law Decree 192 as from
1/1/2008 and from 1/1/2010.
It is important to remember that a good level of heat
insulation is decisive for a good Class of energy
efficiency of the building.

         Stiferite Class S e B mm. 200
    Notes:
    The roof was insulated with a layer of 200 mm of Polyiso foam, consisting of two Stiferite panels 100 mm thick (U=0.14 W/m2K).
    Above the vapour barrier, a layer of Stiferite Class S panels was laid, overlapped – with offset joins – by Stiferite Class B panels. This was waterproofed with a double layer of bituminous mantles. Lastly a wood floor of larch planks was laid (fixed to countersloping battens and with planks at a distance of about 5 mm to guarantee the run-off of meteoric waters) which forms the terraced level of the roof.
