Indications
The solution proposed aims to offer an insulating
protection of the waterproof membrane in the presence
of strong extremes of heat which could endanger its functionality over time.
Unlike the “Inverse roof” system, this solution avoids the
risk of heat erosion due to the penetration of rainwater under the insulating material.
In fact, with the exception of 2 cm of Stiferene, the
insulating material is protected by the waterproof membrane which prevents water getting in.
The Sandwich system may also be used with bituminous waterproof systems, see ballasted flat roofs – round gravel. The characteristics of the complementary materials are highlighted only to indicate a good level quality standard.
